It’s the first Thursday of the month and you know what that means… The Northrup King Building is opening its doors once again to artists studios of all mediums: photographers, painters, sculptors, tile artists and more!

Stop by from 5-9pm for a fun evening. They will be serving Root Beer floats and handing out wooden nickels that are good for one free drink at The Red Stag Supper Club, so head on there after you check out the art to wet your whistle, enjoy delicious food and listen to the sounds of local music.

If you miss it tonight, studios will also be open this Saturday, April 9th from 12-4.

If you’re looking for something to do tonight, you can go see local artists at the Northrup King building  from 5-9pm!

There are lots of special, fun events going on tonight;  It’s American Craft Week so be sure to stop by studios 423, 394, 386, and 269 for more on this event, see local artists’ interpretation of Trains, and be sure to check out the Local Jewelry Night in Northeast!

And as always, remember to pick up your wooden nickel for a free drink at the Red Stag Supper Club!  🙂

That’s right folks, it’s about that time again  for ‘First Thrusday’ at the Northrup King Building!

Located in Northeast Minneapolis, this building houses around 200 local artists of all mediums; sculptors, jewelry makers, painters, ceramic artists, textile artists and more.

Be sure to stop over at 1500 Jackson Street NE between 5 – 9pm this Thursday, September 2nd, to check out the local art scene; also, while you’re there, don’t forget to grab a wooden nickel which is good for a free drink at the Red Stag Supper Club.

The Red Stag has happy hour on Thursday from 3pm – close and music at 10pm; also this Thursday, see the band Pennyroyal play at 10pm.

Stop into studio 366 to see abstract painter, Jack Dale. Holly and I love his use of movement and color. Also, in studio 337 is Jan Bilek, a talented ceramic artist.

It’s the First Thursday, and that means ‘go see local art!’

Before you head off on your 4th of July Weekend, stop by the Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis, where over 130 artists of all trades have their work on display and for sale.

While you’re there checking out all of the amazing local art, be sure to pick up a wooden nickel good for a free glass of wine or beer at the Red Stag Supper Club. The Red Stag has live music every Thursday night, so be sure to stop by!

We are always looking for places to go and see local art. The Northrup King Builidng in NorthEast is one of our favorites and this Thursday (July 2nd)you can go into artists studios from 5-9 to see and/or purchase their artwork.

The building is home to a very eclectic mix of artists; there are painters, sculptors, glass blowers, jewelry makers and everything in between!

This Thursday they are serving Rootbeer Floats so bring the kids, or if you’re on a date night, pick up a wooden nickel good for a free drink at the Red Stag Supper Club (509 1st Ave NE).
