It’s not too late to get crafty for the holidays!

Making this card wreath is easy! To create one like this, all you need is: a quilting hoop (this one is 18″ across), wooden clothespins, decorative ribbon, and hot glue.

I saw this cute idea on Martha Stewart’s website some time ago and wanted to create one of my own, so I went out to my local craft store and got busy!

Start by gluing the clothespins on in an alternate order so some cards can be displayed in the middle and some on the outside of the wreath. Next, cut the ribbon to your desired length and tie a bow to hang the wreath from.

It’s quick and easy; and it’s a great way to display your holiday cards!

Take a peek at how we decorated Holly’s holiday table using creamy white, gold metallic, and splashes of cheery orange!

1 -2.  For the centerpieces, we gathered three glass pieces with varying heights and grouped them in the middle of the table. In the tall pitcher, we placed clipped  branches from a tree in the front yard to add height and texture; in the clear vase we put a collection of small silver & white bulb ornaments; and we filled the round cookie jar with bright orange bulbs.

3-4. We wanted to see more texture on the table, so Holly went outside and snipped a few evergreen branches and arranged them around the glass pieces.

5.  For the place settings, we stacked gold chargers, creamy white Eva Zeisel dinnerware, and linen napkins wrapped with metallic leaves. The vintage Red Wing Pottery Orange Ball Pitcher really adds a fun pop of color to the table.

This holiday season we are definitely seeing a lot of ethereal, white decorations – they are everywhere! Here at hauthaus, we love creating things from scratch, whether its our favorite cookie recipe, sock monkeys (Holly made 4 last year for her cute, little ‘wolf pack’ of nephews!), or handmade holiday decorations and gifts. Now you can follow along with Holly as she creates a beautiful feather wreath in a few quick, easy steps!

  1. What you need: a metal wreath form, scissors, craft paper, ribbon, boas (we used six that are 6′ long)
  2. Get started!
  3. Fill in the wreath form with the craft paper to make it more full.
  4. Start wrapping the boas around the form. To secure each boa, tuck it into the wire form and craft paper.
  5. Continue this with each boa all the way around the form.
  6. Cut a nice long piece of ribbon (about 4′) to hang the wreath from.
  7. Tie the ends into a pretty bow.
  8. Hang up on the wall, door, or window.
  9. Enjoy!
