window treatment styles
February 22, 2011
There are many different ways to dress your windows. Oh let me count the ways: panels, shades, shutters… well why don’t we just show you!
Here are some of the ways we have treated some of our clients’ windows…

Stationary Panels: This softens the large window while adding some drama. Since the client didn't need these treatments for privacy, we were able to cut down on yardage (and cost).

Inverted pleats: This style allowed for us to show off the beautiful patterned fabric, and because they are lined panels, they block the hot summer sun and keep this dining room cool in more ways than one!

Roman Shade: we used this treatment in a 'top-down/ bottom-up' application for maximum privacy and light control.

2010 blogging wrap up (July – Dec)
January 6, 2011
And now… for the rest of the story…
To conclude our wrap up of blogs from the past year, we’ve noted a few entries from the last part of 2010.
In July, we posted the ‘after photos’ from the 2010 ASID Showcase Home where we designed the Front Porch on the Lake of the Isles home. https://hautblog.wordpress.com/2010/07/06/showcase-home-porchafters/
In August, we highlighted three of the main color trends for fall: Magenta and Chocolate, Yellow, Grey and White, and eggplant. See the fresh combo of yellow, grey and white here: https://hautblog.wordpress.com/2010/08/03/color-trends-yellow-grey-and-white/
In September, we showcased three themes for table top decor ideas for hosting fall dinner parties. These themes can translate easily to parties throughout the year. https://hautblog.wordpress.com/2010/09/09/fall-dinner-parties/
In October, we posted a few pictures from a custom window installation. We used the same fabric on the cornice board and to upholster a wing chair in this lovely music room. https://hautblog.wordpress.com/2010/10/14/hauthaus-installation-day/
In November, we showed you how to make a feather wreath with Holly. Did you make one? If so, we’d love to see pictures! 🙂 https://hautblog.wordpress.com/2010/11/22/make-a-holiday-feather-wreath-with-holly/
In December, we showed you how to create a fabulous holiday table using things you might find in your kitchen cabinets and your front yard! https://hautblog.wordpress.com/2010/12/09/holiday-table-decor-with-hauthaus/
