window treatments: installation

October 4, 2011

A couple posts ago, we blogged  about some pictures of window treatments “in process” as they were being made. Well just last Friday they were installed! Here are some of the pictures from that installation…

Oh what a different window treatments make!

Window treatments really add a lot to a space. Before, this stair window was the first thing you would see as you enter the 3rd floor master bedroom; it was stark and cold and now Voila! The soft heathered fabric panels greet you. They are both beautiful AND functional since they block the bright morning light.
Below is the sequence of pictures from the bed wall. The window seemed small and disproportionate before the window treatments went up.
We added a double rod here; the sheers soften the window and add a layer of privacy while the fabric panels add a pop of color and provide the option to block out the light.
By adding the panels on all of the windows, the room feels more dressed up and a little like a fancy hotel.
What do you think of the transformation?
