color trends: yellow, grey and white
August 3, 2010
Wake up! The latest (and my favorite) color combo is Front and Center this season!
If you have been out and about lately, whether it’s in Crate and Barrel, Target, or to the showrooms at Interational Market Square, you have certainly noticed grey, white and yellow popping onto everything from tableware to dresses to the latest upholstery fabrics.
The past few months have certainly proven to us that neutrals, greys, and whites are everywhere. They provide a sense of stability and calm. The economy has a great infulence on color trends, and that has led us to where we are today with all of the grey. But thankfully, yellow has stepped up and rustled the feathers of her neutral sisters! She is large and in charge. She is out to make you smile and put a little pep in your step! Is it working?
Have you noticed yourself gravitating a little farther away from the beiges and greys of yesterday and toward the fresh new idea of citron, lemon, sunshine… yellow?
The picture illustrates some of the fabulous new fabrics that are out and available to you as window treatments, pillows, or even on your sofa!
Be bold.
Be beautiful with the hot color combo: grey, white and yellow!

Tonya,
The floral with the yellow back ground is a Romo fabric: #7253-01.
We found it at KDR Showrooms in Minneapolis.
